Willemeen presenteert ism Luxor Live het invloedrijke Amerikaanse hiphop collectief Hieroglyphics in de grote zaal van Luxor Live!
Het uit Oakland, Californië afkomstige Hieroglyphics komt voor het eerst naar Europa en komt gelijk naar Arnhem! De groep bestaat uit old skool en underground hiphop legendes en komen naar Luxor Live met Del The Funky Homosapien, Souls of Mischief, Pep Love, Domino, Casual en DJ Toure!

Hieroglyphics
De Hieroglyphics Crew werd in het begin van de jaren negentig opgericht. Deze visionaire groep smeedde een uniek geluid waarin lyriek, eclectische, vaak met jazz doordrenkte beats en sociaal bewuste thema’s samenvloeien. Rapper Del The Funky Homosapien werd als voorbeeld genoemd door acts al A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Andre 3000, Eminem en ga maar door. Zijn samenwerking met Damon Albarn op Gorrillaz’ ‘Clint Eastwood’ leverde hem platinum erkenning op. Souls of Mischief scoorde met hun track 93 ‘Till Infinity een van hiphops grootste en alom gerespecteerde classics allertijden.

Hieroglyphics
The Hieroglyphics Crew started in the early nineteen nineties. This visionary group created an unique sound where lyrics, eclectic, jazzy beats and social themes came together.
Rapper Del The Funky Homosapien was called an example by acts such as A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Andre 3000, Eminem and more. His collaboration with Damon Albarn on Gorrillaz’ ‘Clint Eastwood’ gave him platinum accolades. Souls of Mischief made one of hiphops greatest and most respected classics with their track 93 ‘Till Infinity.
