NIFELHEIM
De Zweedse black metal band Nifelheim heeft sinds hun oprichting in 1990 slechts een handjevol albums uitgebracht. Tweelingbroers Per en Erik Gustavsson, beter bekend als Hellbutcher en Tyrant, waren vooral bekend vanwege hun extreme voorkeur voor metalen pinnen, hun Iron Maiden-obsessie en het feit dat ze in een kasteel wonen. Donderdag 3 mei staat Nifelheim in Willemeen om het publiek omver te blazen!

MISANTHROPIA maakt al sinds 2005 symphonic black/death metal. De Nijmegenaren begonnen in 2006 met hun debuut "Rise Of Necropolis". Daarna waren ze te bewonderen op vele shows en festivals, voordat in 2010 hun tweede album "Slang Des Doods" uit kwam. Op dit succesvolle album is ook een eerste samenwerking met Mike Wead (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Bibleblack, Nattas en vele anderen...) te horen.
Na veel veranderingen in de band kwamen ze in 2015 terug met een nieuw album. "Omerta" zal dan ook zeker te horen zijn tijdens hun terugkeer naar Willemeen!

MISANTHROPIA, founded in 2005, is a symphonic black/ death metal band from the Nijmegen area in the Netherlands.
The band introduced themselves to the metal scene through the 2006 release of their debut album “RISE OF NECROPOLIS”. They performed at many shows and festivals before recording their 2010 album “SLANG DES DOODS”. This was the band’s first collaboration with Mike Wead (lead-guitarist of, among others, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Bibleblack, Nattas) who mixed and mastered the album. This fruitful collaboration resulted in a superbly sounding album; thus, many gigs and festivals were imminent.
After many line-up changes, MISANTHROPIA were ready to start recording a brand-new album in 2015. Because he did such a wonderful job in 2010, Mike Wead was asked to mix and master this album, too. The drum tracks were recorded by Mike in Studio Soulless (Grave) in Stockholm, and later, Mike Wead and Simon Johansson (Wolf) finished mixing and mastering the album “OMERTÀ” in the SolnaSound Recording Studio in Sweden. As expected, the results are astonishing!
The album’s artwork is by Jan Örkki Yrlund (Darkgrove Design), who has also designed album covers for Manowar, Korpiklaani, Impaled Nazarene, Sirenia, and many others.
Snakebite Records/ ROCK INC. will promote and distribute the album. “OMERTÀ” will be released in May 2016, and will be available through streaming services, music download websites and various webshops (e.g., Deezer, Spotify, iTunes, Google play, bol.com, and Amazon). Naturally, merchandise will also be sold at concerts. MISANTHROPIA is a force to be reckoned with, and “OMERTÀ” will definitely not be their last album!
