FORMS and Strike Back are psyched up to bring you another bass-driven Queens night event at the Willemeen. On monday, 29th of April we will deliver two area's featuring a quality line-up with the finest in bass music, plus an outside chill-out smoking dugout.
FORMS is hosting the drum'n'bass area on the upstairs floor with headliners Giana Brotherz from Germany and Voltage Live Soundsystem.
The GIANA-BROTHERZ are a band-project within the Drum & Bass and Breakbeat scene, which was founded back in 2000 by the producer-duo SSB aka as Chicken & Sola. In the same year TJ HOOKAH joined the crew as a very skilled and experienced DJ in order to support the duo during their live acts with wicked scratches and samples. Only a few months later the first releases on the Pathfinder label from Bonn and on Cologne’s label Basswerk followed. Even UK’s DJ Fresh found interest in the rocking sound and signed the tune Tessla on Square One, a sub-label of Bad Company. Since then the GIANA-BROTHERZ have been touring all through Europe and have even traveled as far out as Moskow, Russia. In the year 2003 they start their own label which is called GIANA BROTHERZ RECORDINGS. On this label they signed Artists like Misanthrop, Neonlight, Mankind, Polarity & Shroombab and of course their own releases.
Mister Chicken himself will be the representing the ravey Giana Brotherz sound. Expect nothing less than a heavy mix of fresh&crazy DnB & Dubstep tunage.
Second headliner is the live DnB soundsystem Voltage! Having rocked many clubs and festivals in and outside the Netherlands, the band has a proper reputation when it comes to their live performances. Voltage has been awarded for best drummer and best vocalist at the Grote Prijs van Nederland as well as placing second in the Dance category. After a few years laying dormant, 2012 was the year the band decided to reunite for several epic and electrifying live performances. Consisting of Bradly the drummer, Tyson on the decks, Niels Hoorn on brass and vocalised by Sanne Mus, MC 187PAT & Don.Skey. Voltage brings you a mix of up-tempo beats and breaks covering several genres such as Drum & Bass, Breaks, Jazz, and Dubstep.
Our partners in crime, Strike Back has assembled a serious line-up of heavy Dubstep DJ's featuring Confuzing Matterz (UK), Dephanx, Zero Binopse (aka Sperzieboon), hosted by MC Multiplex.
Needless to say, this is going to be a sick night!
