Antimatter, a UK melancholic rock band, is the project of longtime member Mick Moss. The project was formed in 1997 by Duncan Patterson (former bassist/songwriter of Anathema) and Moss. The pair released three albums together - Saviour, Lights Out and Planetary Confinement. Shortly after the completion of Planetary Confinement, Patterson left to start another band called Íon. Moss continued and released the project’s fourth album, Leaving Eden, following with 2009’s Live@An Club, released on his own label Music In Stone. Most recently Moss has overseen a 10 year retrospective multi-disc release entitled ‘Alternative Matter’, and released the 5th Antimatter album, 'Fear Of A Unique Identity', in 2012. This show is part of The Judas Tour in response to their 2015 release: The Judas Table.
February Moon
February Moon is an indiepop/postrock band from Enschede. The front woman’s sorrow is expressed in their bittersweet and comforting music.February Moon’s melancholic music takes you away to an autumn walk in the scandinavian pinewoods.
Instead of Scandinavia, the band grew up in Nijmegen, Holland. They met at the conservatory in Enschede. The four headed indiepop/postrock band, consisting of Bram den Boer, Casper Bonger, Florian Hermsen and Hanne van Renesse, has a bittersweet and comforting sound.
‘People often ignore their feelings when they’re feeling bad. I think that people can connect on a much deeper level when they identify with each other and share their darker thoughts and feelings. There’s a lot of comfort that comes with that recognition. We actually get comfort from another one’s sorrow.’ says the front woman of the band. She experiences that comfort too in her musical examples like Daughter, London Grammar and Ben Howard.
At the moment, February Moon is recording their first live EP. It is recorded in the Valkhof chapel in Nijmegen. If you want to know what’s going on with the EP or want to visit a show, follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
